With the concept of conducting skill upgradation in the areas of programme of Non-formal, Adult and Continuing Education, IRCEN runs an important project 'Institute of People ’s Education' (JSS) in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. The Institution promotes literacy among young illiterate boys and girls. The target group for the purpose of need based training include neo-literates in various light technical courses such as T.V. & Radio fault finding & repairing, Typing, Computer training, Motor rewinding and so many other short term courses. For this purpose, the institute has well trained & qualified teachers who impart training to JSS beneficiaries & trainees. Thousands of young boys & girls join JSS training programmes every year. Having completed their training successfully they are able to earn their livelihood. This project is fully sponsored by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Govt. of India.
